Privacy Policy

ExamTrack ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application developed and operated by Rajan Ghuman, an individual developer based in Amritsar, Punjab, India.

ExamTrack helps users in North India track government job notifications, exam dates, results, admit cards, study material, and prepare through quizzes and 1v1 quiz battles with other users.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what rights you have over your data. By using ExamTrack, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use the app, we collect:

• Full Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• State / Location (e.g., Punjab, Haryana, UP)
• Educational Qualification
• Category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS)
• Job category preferences (SSC, Railway, Banking, etc.)

2.2 Information Generated by Your Activity

As you use the app, we store:

• Jobs you have saved
• Jobs you have tracked (with application status)
• Jobs you have marked as applied
• Results and marks you have entered
• Notification preferences you set
• Quiz, daily quiz, and mock test scores and progress

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

Firebase (operated by Google) may automatically collect crash reports and error logs to help us fix bugs. We do not run our own analytics beyond this.

2.4 Information Shared During 1v1 Quiz Battle

ExamTrack includes a 1v1 Quiz Battle feature where you are matched against another user in real time. When you use this feature:

• Your display name and live score are shared with the opponent you are matched with, for the duration of that match only.
• Your battle results (win/loss/draw and final score) are stored in your account to track your progress and award in-app XP.
• Battle rooms and the questions generated for them are temporarily stored and are automatically deleted after 24 hours if unused.
• Your name and score are never visible to any user other than the specific opponent you are matched with, and are not shown publicly or on any leaderboard visible to unmatched users.

• All user data is stored on Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on Google's secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure.
• We implement Firebase security rules so only you can access your own data.
• Your password is never stored by us — Firebase Authentication handles it with industry-standard encryption.
• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.

ExamTrack uses the following third party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• With Google/Firebase: As necessary to provide cloud storage and authentication
• With a matched opponent: Your display name and live score during a 1v1 Quiz Battle, as described in Section 2.4
• Legal compliance: If required by Indian law, court order, or government authority
• Safety: If we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm to you or others

We will never share your data with employers, recruiters, coaching institutes, or marketing companies.

As a user in India, you have the following rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to Correction: Update or correct your data through Edit Profile or by contacting us
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your account and all associated data within 30 days
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
• Right to Grievance Redressal: File a complaint with us or with India's Data Protection Board
• Right to Nominate: Nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf

ExamTrack is intended for users 13 years of age and older, including students preparing for government exams before reaching the minimum age of eligibility for certain jobs.

If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you may only use ExamTrack with the involvement, awareness, and consent of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which requires verifiable parental consent for processing the personal data of anyone under 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a user under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.

ExamTrack may send you push notifications about:

• New government job vacancies
• Exam date reminders
• Admit card availability
• Result declarations
• Application deadline reminders
• 1v1 Quiz Battle invitations and results

You can opt-in or opt-out of notifications at any time through your phone's notification settings or within the ExamTrack app settings. We do not send promotional messages from third parties.

The app contains links to official government websites (ssc.gov.in, ibps.in, etc.) for job applications, results, and admit cards. These external websites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:

• The "Last Updated" date at the top will change
• We will notify you through the app if the changes are significant
• Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Punjab, India.
